Black Author wins Copyright Case for Matrix movie | Jason Skywalker's Blog
It’s weird to me that black color isn’t going crazy about this right now. Here we have a real legal victory in which a black woman was awarded scrilla scratch and paper for the ideas that the wakowski brothers stole from her to create their trilogy of Matrix films, and you niggas would rather reblog a picture of some statues holding hands under water because someone lied and said it was to commemorate those lost on the middle passage…
Actual success, actual non-digital retaliation to injustice.

My blackness isn’t determined by how I talk, how I carry myself. Not even the music I listen too. If that was the case a lot of white people would be black. Blackness is not an outfit we put on. I was born this way. This was a gift. a non refundable gift. Others wish they were given the privilege of waking up with rich history and culture running through their veins. I didn’t choose to be black but I’m damn sure being black chose me.markus pr1m3 (via mpr1m3)
